Intern Title: Organizational Development Intern
Intern Description:
In this position, the intern will work closely with the Sr. Training and Organizational Development Specialist and the Director of Organizational Development in developing training, online training, digital library, and succession planning. Furthermore, the intern will be used in the investigation and research of social media for our company.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and re-develop online training to maximize the learner’s retention
- Convert instructor-led training scripts into on-demand learning storyboards, scripts and deliverables
- Identify and engage Subject Matter Experts (SME), gather and assemble core content, and transform content into scripts and storyboards
- Present information clearly and concisely using eLearning best practices
- Help create a digital library to be placed on the intranet
- Help develop a SEFL Manager’s Guide (TBD)
- Work with the Sales Team and create simulation training for Sales (TBD)
- Various administrative tasks in preparation of succession planning (TBD)
Qualifications:
The intern must have mastery knowledge and skill in PowerPoint 2007 and needs to have some familiarity with some or all of the following: Adobe Flash CS3 or CS4, Adobe Flash Builder, Adobe PhotoShop, Articulate, Adobe Captivate, and Camtasia 5 or 6. The intern also needs to have some knowledge of social media tools such as Twitter, etc.

Benefits:
While this internship will be an unpaid position, the intern will receive several benefits over time. First and foremost, the intern will gain experience in the development of training materials, working with Subject Matter Experts, talent management/development, and succession planning. He/she will be involved in research and the analysis of various online talent management and online learning software (SaaS). Second, the intern will receive a full, detailed personal analysis using the TriMetrix measuring behaviors, motivations, and competencies giving them a personalize individual development plan. Third, the intern will receive a one-on-one instructional evaluation of their TriMetrix with a trained TriMetrix evaluator or our Organizational Advisor from Riverstone Organizational Advisors. Fourth, the intern will receive a full Southeastern performance review with a comparison to their TriMetrix individual plan, and depending on their performance, they will receive a written recommendation from the Director of Organizational Development. Fifth, the intern will have hands on experience with using and interfacing with a LMS. Sixth, the intern will receive personal coaching in order to improve their resume.
Details:
Southeastern is looking for energetic interns who can work a flexible schedule (approximately 15 hours a week), who enjoys the service industry and who are able to work at least a semester’s length of time. The internship may be extended.
We are willing to work with any level college student (junior/senior preferable). Majors which would best fit the internship include: Instructional Design, Instructional or Educational Technology, or related fields including Graphic Design, Education and Human Resources, but we are open to others who may be interested in the transportation industry. The internship is not paid, however there are many opportunities to receive excellent practical experience.
